Robert Fitch

Robert 'Bob' J. Fitch, Sr., 84, passed away on January 14, 2026. Robert, the son of Frank and Ione Fitch, was born on August 13, 1941, in Riverside, CA. He was confirmed at Redeemer Lutheran Church of Rochester, MN, and remained a proud member of the congregation throughout his life.

Bob's favorite hobbies included hunting, fishing and going to their family cabin where he spent time with family. He also enjoyed being around and helping his community at church. He retired from Crenlo after more than 40 years, Bob began volunteering at Oxbow Park which he loved because he could be outdoors.

Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia Fitch, of Pine Island, MN; daughter-in-law Angela Fitch, and grandsons, Wyatt and Levi, of Pine Island, MN; and sister, Debbie (LaVoie) House, Red Wing, MN. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert J. Fitch, Jr.; parents, Frank and Ione Fitch; sister, Judy, and brothers, John and Thomas.

The family would like to express special thanks to Redeemer Lutheran Church members, the staff at Edenbrook Pine Haven, Mayo Hospice, and his many family and friends.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 869 7th Ave. SE, Rochester. Burial will be at the Pine Island Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Redeemer Lutheran Church (youth, choir, RSE).
