Robert Louis Loos

Robert Louis Loos, 96, of Rochester, MN passed away on May 12, 2026, at River Bend Assisted Living in Rochester.

Robert was born on June 27, 1929, in Walla Walla, WA to Oberlin and Lois (Osborne) Loos. He grew up in and graduated from high school in Walla Walla. After high school Robert joined the Navy in 1947 and served until 1951. On September 16, 1950, Robert married Joan Ellis. They lived in Richland, WA where Robert was a self-employed electronic repairman. The couple later lived in Dubuque, IA and finally relocated to Rochester, MN in 1982. Robert worked in the cable business.

Robert enjoyed photography, cats, reading, symphony-classical music and was very involved at their church.

He is survived by his children, Linda (Don) Kloberdanz, Robert (Aurea) Loos, Steve (Shanon) Loos, Gerry (Dedra) Loos, David (Rita) Loos, Cindy Barrett, and Raymond (Amy Wold) Loos; 15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joan; daughter, Susan; and four sisters.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 2124 Viola Road NE, Rochester, MN, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester.
