Robert Rueber

Robert William Rueber, 90, of Pine Island, Minnesota, passed away on August 31, 2025, at Pine Haven Care Center in Pine Island.

Robert was born on January 4, 1935, in Oronoco, Minnesota, to Roger and Marie (Morrow) Rueber and was lovingly raised by his aunt and uncle, Vyril and Luella Rueber. On July 12, 1958, he married Jacqueline Bell in Oronoco, where they continued calling home and where they raised their children.

Robert dedicated 35 years of his career in facility maintenance at IBM, where his skills and strong work ethic were well respected. Outside of work, he had a love for fixing things, welding, snow plowing, and gardening. He especially enjoyed time spent hunting, fishing, and vacationing at Lake Kabetogama.

Robert is survived by his children, Kim (Jerry) Jensen and Dale Rueber; three grandchildren, Shelly (Josh) Harens, Mike (Nicole) Kann, and Alex (Josh) Pister; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Ellen Thirtle; and brother, Kenneth Rueber. He is preceded in death by his wife; brother, Lloyd; parents.

A celebration of life will be held from 2:00-4:00 PM on Wednesday, September, 10, 2025 at the Ranfranz and Vine Remembrance and Reception Centre (5482 Royal Place NW, Rochester, MN 55901). Burial will be at the Oronoco Cemetery.
