Roberta Ann Heyer, lovingly known as Bobbie, age 71, of Rochester, MN, passed away peacefully on September 15th, 2025 at home, surrounded by family and friends. Along with her infectious laughter and smile, Bobbie will be remembered most for the countless lives she touched with her strength, kindness, and unwavering spirit to serve others over the years.
Bobbie was born in Milwaukee, WI on July 17th, 1954, her family resided in Viroqua, WI before moving to Rochester where she stayed and raised her own children. Bobbie was a server at Michael's restaurant where she developed her love for hospitality and then in 1980 she began serving at the Kahler Hotel. During her 43 years there she enjoyed mingling with the many Rochester visitors who were often ill or accompanying their loved ones. She found great purpose and community with the many that sat in the tables she served and alongside those that she served with.
Bobbie's greatest joy was her family whom she adored. She is survived by her two children Melissa (Richard) Eagen of Rochester, MN and Christopher (Alissa) Heyer of Apple Valley, MN, six grandchildren Kayla Heyer, Jordan (Rebeca) Heyer, Eric Eagen, Samuel (Emma) Eagen, Amelia Heyer and William Heyer; four great grandchildren, Jack. Bennett, Lilah and Tucker; her sister Kathleen Froh and a brother Thomas Heyer along with countless extended family members which she loved greatly. She was preceded in death by her parents Barbara and Harland "Chris" Christopherson, her sister Deborah Kay Heyer and brother Gerard Richard Heyer and great granddaughter Brielle Ann Heyer.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, MN, from 9:30-10:30am, followed by a Celebration of Life at 10:30am with a luncheon to follow.
