Ronald Ohm

Ronald Roy Ohm, 69, of Rochester passed away on November 1, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on August 21, 1954 in Wabasha, MN to Frank and Betty (Roland) Ohm.

Ron attended Elgin High School and graduated from John Marshall High School in Rochester. On December 17, 1977 he married Sherie Stevens. He was a dedicated husband and father. Ron had a passion for farming and continued this through most of his life.

Ron enjoyed traveling, he especially loved road trips and traveling west with his family to visit historic sites. He also enjoyed fishing, movies, astronomy, history, reading, and doing crossword and sudoku puzzles. He loved to drive around the nearby countryside.

Survivors include his wife, Sherie Ohm of Rochester; two sons, Brandon Ohm (significant other, Jessica) and Dustin Ohm; siblings, Leilani (Albert) Zomak, Jerry (Bonnie) Ohm, Ted Ohm, Elsie (Ron) Slinger, Tony (Toni) Ohm, and sister-in-law Charlotte Ohm. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Frank.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes followed by a luncheon. Visitation will be on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home and also one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
