Ruth Ann Meek

Ruth A. Meek, age 83, of Citrus Heights, CA (formerly of Rochester, MN) passed away peacefully Sunday, October 17, 2021 at her son's home in Rochester, MN with loving care received by Seasons Hospice. Ruth Ann Meek was born March 26, 1938 in Milwaukee, WI the daughter of Florence (Burns) and Harold Cooke. She grew up in Rochester, MN where she attended school. She was united in marriage to Gerald Meek on August 31, 1957 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. Ruth worked for various businesses but loved being a day care provider in her home. She moved to California and made her home there for the last twenty years until returning to Minnesota. Ruth enjoyed thrift shops and garage sales and shared her finds with her family. She loved to decorate and would rearrange her home with her finds. Ruth also enjoyed spending time on her front porch watching the hummingbirds and caring for her cat, Callie. She is survived by her husband, Gerald Meek of Kasson, MN; five children, Debra (David) Theis of Mexico, David Meek of Rochester, MN, Cindy (Duncan) MacGibbon of Eden Prairie, MN, Lori Meek of Rochester, MN, Pam (Jeff) Schelling of Kasson, MN; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Melissa Johnson. The Meek family would like to thank Seasons Hospice for their loving care and support.
