Sandra "Sandy" Lou Rosendahl

Sandra "Sandy" Rosendahl, age 73, of Rochester, MN passed away July 9, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Sandra was born November 17, 1952 in Rochester, MN to Lucille (King) and Alvin Gottschalk. She went to school at RCLS and then to public schools where she graduated from John Marshall High School. After high school, she graduated from Rochester VoTech then went to work for the Rochester Public Schools, retiring in 2016 as a paraprofessional from Bamber Valley Elementary.

In 1974, she met the love of her life, Bruce Rosendahl and on May 31, 1975 they were married at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rochester, Minnesota. They recently celebrated their 51 year anniversary.

Sandra enjoyed gardening, taking care of her flowers and going on walks with her husband. She loved to spend time with the family at their favorite lakes in Brainerd, MN and Hayward, WI. In the fall, she looked forward to canning vegetables and baking pies.

One of Sandy's greatest joys was being a nana. She loved watching her grandchildren grow up and spending time with them. Christmas was one of her favorite seasons. She enjoyed putting up her manger and other decorations, wrapping the presents, and baking Christmas cookies.

She also enjoyed traveling to Laughlin, NV, Florida and Hawaii with Bruce to break up the long winter.

Sandra is survived by her husband, Bruce Rosendahl; her son, Matt Rosendahl of Rochester; her daughters, Jennifer (Brad) Parrish of Rochester and Robin (Adam) Kvittem of Rochester; grandchildren, Caleb, Adelyn and Sophie all of Rochester; her brothers, Roger (Nancy) Gottschalk of West Allis, WI, Richard Gottschalk of Waseca, MN and Randy (Kathleen) Gottschalk of LeRoy, MN; her sisters, Susan (Gary) Tvedt of Lakeville, MN and Sharlene (Deny) Djock of Missouri along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ronald Gottschalk; sister, Sharon Mills, and nephew, Lee Swenson.

A Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church (222 6th Ave. SW, Rochester, MN). Visitation will be held 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes (5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, MN) and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Rochester, MN.
