Spencer Neal Streed

Spencer Neal Streed, 29, of Lake City, died Friday, July 14th as a result of a motorcycle accident in Lake City.  There will be a gathering of family and friends, Thursday, July 20th from 4-7:00 pm at Lake City Sportsmen Club, 2200 S Oak St, Lake City, MN 55041 with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm.  Funeral arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar with local arrangements by Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home of Rochester.  www.hafh.org

Spencer Neal was born February 2, 1994, in Lake City, Minnesota, the son of Kurt and Dianna (Koll) Streed.  He was baptized at Church of St. Mary in Willmar and was confirmed at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake City.  Spencer attended Lake City Public Schools, graduating in 2012.  Following graduation, he accepted an invitation by his uncle, John, to move to California to start working as a pipefitter/sprinkler fitter.  He wanted to get closer to home so he began working for Ahren Protection in Madison, WI and when the opportunity arose to return home he began working for FireLine of Whitehall, WI.  He truly enjoyed his work and his dedication and work ethic was unmatched!

Spencer enjoyed riding motorcycle, snowboarding, and was a tattoo enthusiast!  He enjoyed physical fitness, including weightlifting and running.  Whether it was an adopted dog, a lizard or any animal, his love, concern and care for animals was amazing.  He had an ability to visit with anyone and for someone who didn’t know if they ever wanted children, his bond with his nephews and nieces was beyond incredible.  Spencer cherished the relationship he had with his grandpa, Darwin, taking the extra time to make a trip to Litchfield to visit or make that extra phone call while he was driving from somewhere.

Survivors include his parents, Kurt and Dianna Streed of Lake City; sister, Meghan (Aric) Adams of Lake City; his nephews and nieces, Junior, Hadlee, Kinsley and Raiden; maternal grandfather, Darwin (special friend, Lylie Miller) Koll of Litchfield and special friend, Sam Haidar; as well as numerous, aunts, uncles and cousins.

 He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary Lou Koll, and paternal grandparents, Oscar and Jane Streed.
