Steven Ross Johnson

Steven Ross Johnson, 68, of Apple Valley, MN passed away on May 9, 2025 at M. Health Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN. He was born on February 9, 1958 in Blue Earth, MN to Roger and Joyce (Ehrich) Johnson.

Steven graduated from Stewartville High School and received an Accounting Degree from Winona St. University. He worked on his grandparent's farm and drove truck for Green Giant. He also worked as an EMT for a few years. Later he was an internal auditor and IT Manager for US Bank for 35 years. He married Patricia Rasmussen in 1995. Steven enjoyed RVing, especially to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. He was a Ham radio operator, and his Bichon and Samoyed pet dogs were very special to him.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia of Apple Valley, MN; mother, Joyce Gilbert of Stewartville; brothers, Douglas (Patricia) Gilbert of San Antonio, TX and Scott Gilbert of Preston, MN and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Roger; step father, Larry Gilbert, paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents, Clarence and Beth Ehrich.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, MN, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Oakwood East Cemetery.
