Tatiana Emelianova

Tatiana "Tanya" S. Emelianova passed away on August 10, 2025 at her home in Rochester, MN. Tanya was born February 24, 1964 to Sergey Emelianov and Olga Emelianova in Vidnoye, Moscow Oblast, Russia.

Tanya lived and worked in the Moscow area throughout her youth. She obtained a master's degree in mathematics before going on to work as a software engineer. She met her husband, Alexei Pytel, at her workplace, and they married on October 20, 1989. They have one daughter, Ekaterina "Katia" Pytel. The family immigrated to the United States in 1998.

Tanya is survived by her husband and daughter, as well as sister Elena (Emelianova) Mokeeva and mother Olga Emelianova. She is preceded in death by her father, Sergey Emelianov.

Tanya loved beautiful things: colorful flowers, fine art, and elegant cuisine. Her favorite hobbies included gardening, travel, playing with the family cat Lucy, and trying out new recipes for cooking and baking. Above all, Tanya enjoyed spending time with her loved ones and making them laugh.

Visitation will be held at Holy Anargyroi Sts. Kosmas and Damianos Orthodox Church at 9:30am on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, followed by the funeral service.
