Theodore Colescott

b. February 1, 1935

Theodore (Ted) Colescott, 88 passed away January 1, 2024. He died peacefully of heart failure, with his children by his side at St Mary's hospital in Rochester MN. Ted was born February 1st, 1935, in Austin MN, where he grew up. He attended Purdue University 1953-1957. He served in the U.S. Army 1957 - 1959. He attended Garrett Theological Seminary in Evanston, IL and served the United Methodist Church as both a Pastor (Clinton/Graceville, Ada, Northfield) and District Superintendent from 1964 until retirement 1997.

Ted is preceded in death by his beloved wife Kathryn (Kathy) Colescott. He is survived by his loving family. His Daughter Briana Colescott of Reston, VA. His son David, wife Patti, daughters Laurel and Sydney are all from Seattle, WA. He is also survived by his sister Gwen Mullen and her husband John and brother-in-law Bob Nylander. Services for Ted will be held May18th at 11:00 am at Christ United Methodist Church, 400 Fifth Ave. SW, Rochester, MN. More details will follow closer to the event.
