Timothy Edmund Ferderer, 72, passed away on June 14, 2025, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN.
Tim was born June 19, 1952, in Wykoff, MN., to the late George and Esther Duparry Ferderer. He was a graduate of Wykoff High School Class of 1970. After high school, Tim went on to aircraft mechanic school in Winona, MN. Tim married Christine Maricle and they had 2 beautiful children, Janell and Jason. Tim went on to work at Viking Automotive in Rochester before going to work at Hormel in Austin, where he retired after 22 years of service. After his retirement, he went to Fleet Farm where he shared his love and knowledge of fishing with those around him. His life was his family, especially adoring his 3 grandsons. He had many adventures with those boys including fossil hunting, exploring the woods, catching lots of fish, watching movies, playing card games, watching them play soccer, mountain bike, and spending as much time as possible with them. One of his longest standing traditions was going with his daughter, Janell, to the 100 mile garage sales. This is a tradition they enjoyed together for over 30 years and they never missed a year. Him and his son-in-law, Thad, spent countless hours together on the water seeing who could catch the biggest fish. A place that he looked forward to every year was Bemidji where lots of memories by the lake were made. This was an Ellenbecker family tradition, and he fit right in. He also enjoyed tinkering with old cars and anything he could get his hands on. His oldest grandson, Colton, and him shared this hobby together. Let's also not forget his love for the family dogs, Diesel and Kota. Tim's contagious smile, witty personality, love for life and for the lord will be greatly missed.
Tim is survived by his two children: Janell (Thaddeus) Ellenbecker of Rochester and Jason Ferderer of St. Cloud; 3 grandchildren; Colton, Hudson, Easton Ellenbecker. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Terry.
