Timothy Richie

Timothy John "Tim" Richie, age 63, of Rochester, Minnesota died on Saturday, August 26, 2023.

Tim was born on August 2, 1960 to Daniel and Susanna (Schlink) Richie in Winona, MN. Tim grew up in Winona and graduated as Valedictorian from Winona Cotter High School in 1978. He went on to attend St. Mary's College in Winona graduating in 1982. Tim married Kathy Kent on May 12, 1984 in Winona. Tim was a passionate worker and was employed by a variety of companies including IBM, Lakeview Technology, CIBER, IBM Global Services, SPSS, Thompson Reuters, Supervalu, US Bank, Backbone Consultants and Compeer Financial. He also owned a small consulting business of his own.

Tim enjoyed playing basketball, softball, golfing and bowling in his free time. When his son Craig was young, he enjoyed attending his sporting events. He also enjoyed watching his favorite Minnesota sports; Twins, Vikings, Wild and Gophers.

Tim volunteered his time taking part in the Rochester Morning Pride Lions Club as Treasurer and holding various leadership positions in District 5M1, serving on the board of local youth sports associations, as well as being part of the Leprechauns of Saint Paul.

Tim is survived by his son Craig (Megan) Richie of Denver, CO; former spouse Kathy Richie; siblings Eugene (Rosanne) Richie, Marilyn (Curt) Marquardt, Linda (Darrel) Douglas, Thomas (Debbie) Richie; brothers-in-law Richard Iverson, Dale Kent; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Susanna Richie and his sister Diane Iverson.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 3-6 PM on Friday, September 8, 2023 at Ranfranz and Vine Remembrance and Reception Center (5482 Royal Pl NW, Rochester, MN). Burial will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, September 9, 2023 in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Lewiston, Minnesota.
