Troy Jones

Troy Lee Jones, 52, of Rochester, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at his home. Troy was born December 22, 1968, in Hammond, MN to Ollen and Karen (Williamson) Jones. Troy was a graduate of John Marshall High School and went on to Austin Technical school for auto body. On June 20, 1992, in Rochester, Troy married Linda Kruse. Throughout his working career, Troy worked for Viking Oldsmobile and later Venture Metals. Troy loved working on cars and was an avid softball and pool player. He loved the outdoors, spending time fishing and riding four wheelers. When he wasn't working on cars, he loved going to car shows and meeting new people. Troy was laid back, had an infectious laugh and smile and was a hardworking and compassionate man. His main love in life was his family. He was a very devoted and involved dad and was always teaching his children new things or helping them with whatever they needed. Troy is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Linda; children, Cassandra Jones, Hunter Jones; grandson, Haze Suazo and by his mother, Karen Cunningham. Troy is also survived by his brother, Todd (Molly Grossbach) Jones; niece, Miranda Jones; nephew, Mackenzie Jones and a host of other family and friends. Troy was preceded in death by his father, Ollen. A memorial gathering will be held from 12:00-2:00 PM Friday, November 26, 2021 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester.
