Vicki Lynn Viker

June 20, 2023, Vicki Lynn Viker, 65, of Wabasha, MN peacefully passed away at home with her beloved husband, Monte, and their children by her side surrounding her with a circle of love. On April 11, 1958, Len and Carole Pier, welcomed a beautiful brown eyed baby girl named Vicki to their home in Sioux Falls, SD. Growing up in Rochester, MN, Vicki quickly stole the heart of Monte Viker, in the hallways of John Marshall High School. After graduating in 1976, the two high school sweethearts were wed on September 24, 1977. The two remained in Rochester, where they built a welcoming house, which was always filled with wonderful aroma of Vicki's homemade baked goodies. Their house soon became a home when it was filled with the joyful sound of their three children, Kali, Patrick, and Travis. Vicki shared her amazing spirit with the many friends she made through the years working at Rochester Health Care, House of the Crafty Mouse, Chicos and more. After retirement Vicki and Monte spent chilly MN weather in Scottsdale, AZ. Their home in Wabasha has a spectacular view of The Mighty Mississippi. Vicki's passions were evident to all as you walk through their home and spacious yard. Books piled high for reading, Broadway musical soundtracks on the radio, MN Vikings "winning" on the big screen, craft tables for beading, a baker's dream kitchen, flowers aplenty, and binoculars within reach to watch the majestic bald eagles fly over the water. Vicki is survived by her loving family; husband Monte Viker, Children Patrick (Tori) Viker of Seattle, WA, and Travis (Kelsey) Viker of Rochester, MN. Brother Bobby Pier of Donna, TX, and father in law Melvin (Pete) Viker of Rochester, MN. Meeting Vicki at the gates of heaven were her daughter Kali Viker, Parents Len and Carole Pier, and mother in law Barb Viker. Vicki's legacy and love will live in the hearts and minds of her family and friends for eternity. A Celebration of Life for Vicki will be held from 4-7PM on Monday, June 26 at Ranfranz and Vine Remembrance and Reception Centre, 5482 Royal Pl NW, Rochester, 55901.
