I worked with Don at the Kahler. He was always so kind. We enjoyed his Natl Guard stories when he came back from a weekend of cooking for the troops.

I knew Don from riding the bus to work. He was always very friendly and nice to me. I know that he loved dogs and was particulary interested in looking out for the "special needs" ones. He will be remembered well.

I knew Don for about six months after I began volunteering once weekly at Caring Partners. He and I knew how to exchange barbs, and I'm not always sure that either of us knew whether the other was serious or kidding. But I knew for sure when I saw that twinkle in Don's eye, usually followed by "I'm just kidding." He was a proud Veteran and always saluted whenever we paraded the flag by his chair. I will miss his red suspenders and his sense of humor. My very sincerest condolences to his family and friends.
