Darcy was my buddy in junior high and high school. She was warm and talented and always fun to be with. Back then I had a 125cc Lambretta scooter and she and I would buzz all around south Mpls. Two crazy blondes wearing motorcycle helmets (my parent's unbending rule)zipping between Lake Nakomis and other parts of the Roosevelt High School area. She had the lead role in a couple of plays, at Roosevelt. One of them was "Barefoot in the Park" and she was wonderful in it. I was always hoping to reconnect with her, and have more time with her. If I make it to heaven, I'll hug her then.

My deepest sympathy to you in the loss of Darcy who was so gifted, giving, and a delight to know. I worked with her several years ago in the Department of Neurology and, in fact, she attended my wedding in 1973. I cherish the kind memories of her and her warm smile and hope that your fond memories of her will help ease all the sorrow that you are dealing with at this time.

Dear Bob and family,

My deepest sympathy to your entire family during this very sad time.

Darcy and I had been interacting in one way or other in our jobs for years. She will be missed.

Please know I am thinking of all of you during this very, very sad time. And pray that you may find peace knowing that although she has left this earthly life she will not be forgotten.

I will never forget the love, encouragement, and support that Darcy (or D, as I called her)showed me in the seven years she was my supervisor. She helped me grow into the confident woman I am today by showing me how to use my skills, learn from others, and choose my battles...all with a gracious smile, even if the teeth were grinding underneath it. What a monumental loss for us all.
