Sam''s hard work in the HAPP Program and his passion for others less fortunate was always apparent. He wrote a heartfelt article supporting the HAPP tutoring program because he understood that the refugee students have great potential that needs support. I was so impressed with his intellect, his creativity and his desire to make a difference as a journalist someday. Hearing of Sam''s death was a terrible shock; his loss will be deeply felt. I will always have immense respect for Sam.
