Kerry Rita Nolte, 37 of Rochester, MN passed away April 1, 2012 from cancer at the home of her parents in Mantorville, MN with her family by her side.
She was born September 3, 1974 in Rochester , MN the daughter of Maggie O'Connell-Nolte and Rog Nolte (Mantorville, MN) .She graduated from Kasson-Mantorville High School /Stanbridge Earls School, Romsey, England in 1993.She attended Salisbury Technical Art Institute, Salisbury, England; Minnesota College of Art and Design, Minneapolis, MN and Rochester Community and Technical College.
Kerry enjoyed creating art work, especially collages.
She also enjoyed taking walks and photographing the local scenery and wild life.
Some of her art work had won awards in various art shows.
Kerry volunteered for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), helping to educate people about mental illness.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Floyd,her parents, her brother Josh (Cristina) Nolte of Plymouth, MN and her paternal Grandmother Frieda Nolte of Winthrop, MN, aunts, uncles, many cousins and friends.
Kerry was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Joe and Rita O'Connell of Anthon, Iowa and paternal grandfather, Paul Nolte of Fairmont, MN.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, April 7, at 2 pm at the First Unitarian Universalist Church, 1727 Walden Lane SW, Rochester, MN.

Maggie and Rog,
I am so sorry for your tremendous loss. Kerry was an inspiration to many, both through her art work and through her speaking for NAMI. She left this world a better place through her participation in it. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
