Sandra "Sandy" Kathleen Dose died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on September 12, 2020 at age 65 after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

Sandy is survived by her husband Doug, her children Michael (Gina) Dose, Kristina Dose, Matthew Dose, and Daniel Dose all of Rochester. She is survived by her six grandchildren, Joshua, Lilianna, Brianna, Gabriela, Jayson, and Jaxson Dose all of Rochester, MN. She is also survived by her brothers Jeff (Cindy) Erding of Wykoff and Greg (Lori) Erding of Preston, MN and Sister-in-Law Arlene Erding of Stewartville. She is preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Mariette Erding of Wykoff and her brother Kent (Arlene) Erding of Wykoff.

Sandy was born at St. Mary's hospital in Rochester, MN on July 3, 1955. She grew up in Wykoff, MN with her parents and three brothers. Sandy graduated top of her class from Wykoff High School in 1973 where she was editor of the school newspaper. After graduation, she attended two years at Winona State University. She moved to Rochester, MN in 1975 where she worked at Norwest Bank in mortgage lending. On June 1, 1984 she married Doug Dose, a farmer and realtor. They went on to have four children and six grandchildren. In 1991, they opened Choose and Cut Fraser Firs that is now in its 29th year of business. Together with their children, they also operated a successful produce business. Sandy also played a vital role in Doug Dose Reality and managed several rental properties in Rochester, MN. In July 1998, she began work as a phlebotomist the Mayo Clinic where she retired after 22 years in July 2020. She took great pride in her work and looked forward to seeing patient's each day.

Sandy was a devoted mother and wife who loved her family. She felt most at home when cooking or baking in the kitchen or caring for the flowers and birds in her yard. She enjoyed exploring the outdoors and had fond memories of visiting Forestville State Park with her family growing up. She made it a priority to offer the same experiences she had as a child to her children and grandchildren. She was a history buff who loved science fiction and was often found with a book in her hand. Sandy was a spiritual woman who was involved in many activities in her St. Francis of Assisi Church community. She was blessed with a beautiful singing voice that she shared with others in various church choirs over the years. To say that Sandy will be missed by her family and friends is an understatement. While we mourn, we take comfort in knowing we will join her in Heaven.

A wake will be held on Sunday September 20, 2020 from 2-5pm at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, MN 55901. I always loved seeing Mrs. Dose when we would pick up our Christmas tree around Thanksgiving time. She would help us pick out the prettiest wreath. When my siblings and I were younger, she liked to give us coloring books, and we LOVED them. Even though I did not know her well, I will miss her. My thoughts are with her family.

You can tell a lot about a mom by meeting her children. Sandy raised four incredible kids who have been incredible gift to the larger community.

I am so sorry for your loss and am inspired by your mom's legacy.
