I'm so sad to hear of Emily's passing and didn't know anything about it till I got the Christmas card I had sent returned to me. She was my Mom's (Amelia Gerdts (Landize))best friend in North Dakota as young girls. Mom always spoke so highly of Emily and after my Mom's passing I continued to send Christmas cards to her. Prayers to her family and friends.

To all of Emily's children and their families,
My deepest sympathy and prayers at this time. I always enjoyed visiting with your mother when I was in Rochester. She never forgot my birthday and aways sent a card. Her handwriting was beautiful and very precise even in her senior years. When I was in town, she always insisted I come for a meal. It was a joy to visit with her. Emily , may you rest in peace. Love, Alene

Sorry to hear of the passing away of my Aunt Emily. When I was a kid we used to go to Dickinson from Bismarck with my parents, Jim and Marie Kubisiak and my 5 brothers and sisters and would visit Aunt Emily and Uncle John and all the cousins: Tim, Paul, Robert, Mary and Ann . In addition to her being a wonderful Aunt, she was my Godmother. Throughout the years I would occasionally correspond with her and admire her excellent cursive handwriting. She was always polite, exact and had a wonderful smile. Visited her a last time with my Dad (Jim) and sister Kath a few years ago while taking my Dad to Mayo Clinic. Saw Uncle John then too . I was impressed when we had dinner at her house with other family members and she got up on a chair to reach into a high cupboard for a plate or bowl . She was already around 90. Amazing ! She was a wonderful person and I always thought she was very special. With love to the family. - Tom Kubisiak and my wife Georgina Ottaviano.

Sister Mary Kate Wolf on Oct 20, 2020

I will always remember how my grandma would address her letters to me using my middle name which I shared in common with her. After I learned how to read she wrote her letters to me using her printing, all in caps, until I could read her handwriting. She told me once that she wrote weekly to her children and monthly to her grandchildren and I experienced that she did so faithfully. Grandma Wolf taught me how to live with dignity. Even to advanced age, while she was still able, her hair was neatly done, a little makeup tastefully and never taking any little service or favor offered to her for granted. I will miss her and am grateful she is now at peace.
