Daniel Clifford Larson, 67, of Rochester, passed away unexpectedly at home on November 16, 2020, with the love of his life by his side. Born in Rochester, MN, on August 2, 1953, he graduated from Kasson Mantorville High School and went on to earn his two year degree after attending Mankato State and Rochester Community College. He met Debra Jean Erickson in eighth grade and they were married on July 15, 1972. He worked for UPS for 35 years, retiring in 2008. Lars, as he was commonly referred to, was a man of few words but always had the right ones when needed. A definite homebody, he was happiest at home watching shows, in front of the fireplace, with his wife. Throughout his life, he enjoyed golfing, hunting and spending time at the cabin with family and friends. Family was his number one priority. He loved watching his grandchildren play all their many sports.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Deb; children, Andy(Brenda) Larson and Jill (Brian) Landin; grandchildren, Masey, Charleigh and Kane Larson, Henry and Miles Landin; granddogs, Zoey, Winnie and Daisy; brothers, Don (Nancy) Larson and Richard (Connie) Larson. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Juanita.

Dearest Deb, my heart goes out to you and the family. It saddened me for such a loss. Dan was that person that was liked by so many. His kindness and sense of humor won’t be forgotten. Sending you hugs and prayers dear. I wanted to be there today and would have if not for the Covid.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Deb and the entire Larson family. We always enjoyed spending time with the cousins on their trips to Arizona. Dan had a special way about him and we always enjoyed doing things with he and Deb. Dan always lived life to the fullest and had that special little twinkle in his eye when he was up to something. With all of our love, Lynn and Sue Larson
I’m very sorry to hear about losing Lars. He and Deb always made me feel so welcome when I was in Rochester. Sending love from Madison. Jeff Eilbes
